In 2000, I became a single mother of 2 sons (ages 5 and 9) both with genetic blood diseases, after 14 years of marriage to their father. They are truly amazing young men and my heroes.
The financial burden has been quite difficult with all the medical bills and trying to keep a roof over our heads.
Sickle Cell Disease (SS) affects major organs like the liver, heart, kidneys, gallbladder, eyes, bones, and joints can all be damaged. They suffer damage from the abnormal function of the sickle red blood cells and their inability to flow through the small blood vessels correctly. Problems for my sons include: Increased infections and fever, bone tissue damage, gallstones, Kidney damage, Eye/vision loss and damage, multiple organ failure, acute chest syndrome causing lung damage, Anemia, blood clots, painful swelling of their hands, feet and joints, continuous blood transfusions and sepsis to name a few.
My family needs prayers availing the Throne of God for His favor, mercy and provisions.
•My oldest son is in End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)and in desperate need of a kidney transplant for the 2nd time. He received a transplant 8 years ago.
•He will be starting home dialysis and we need a home with adequate space.
•He is in need of employment and has a 4 year degree in Business/Marketing. Praying for a remote job, so he can do dialysis during the day.
•He lost weight after the first transplant 8 years ago and will need to gain at least 20-25 lbs to be able to endure the transplant. He has very little appetite because of the kidney disease.
•My youngest son lost his vision after Thanksgiving and required emergency surgery and is being followed by a Retinal Specialist. Praying for full/complete restoration of his vision.
•My youngest son is also being plagued with walking due to sickled blood vessels, causing bone death (osteonecrosis) in the femoral head, leading to collapse and arthritis in his hips.
•I need prayers for my strength and good health to continue to be a present help in their time of need.
•More patience and love as their mother who has to work a full-time, demanding job.
•Additional financial resources to cover expenses when they are hospitalized or unable to work.
• Student Loan Forgiveness
•A promotion and raise on my job. It has been over due for a while now.
•Both of my sons have drifted away from God and need to restore their relationships with Him. Prayers for the Holy Spirit to continue to speak to their hearts and draw them back!

My landlord is saying some surveyors can turn up unannouced (contrary to tenancy agreement) because they don't have exact dates for them. Please pray for God to intervene so that I have at least 48 hours advance warning of any such visit (with specific attendance dates) and to protect me so I don't lose my home.
